For those of you who were not at Youth Group last night I handed out a schedule of upcoming events!!! Mark your calendars and invite your friends!!!!

April 4 - Easter at the Beacon - Be there at 8:45am to help with the egg hunt
April 8 - Rock & Worship Roadshow, with David Crowder and Mercy Me - Long Beach Arena
cost is $10 and I will need to know how many are going to have enough drivers
May 14- Ice Skating
June 12- Pool Party at the Moore's

So this Saturday Kristin, Will, Rowdy and I went to Kevin's baseball game! It was a lot of fun and Kristin got really sun burned!

Mission Trip

So all this talk about mission and camp trip has made me think about my first mission trip! So this was me when I was 13 years old at Florida for two weeks for boot camp then off to Honduras for a month! The reason why I got the sign that said "I live like a Pig" was because my team didn't clean up so well and we had to wear that sign for the whole day! Fun times, one of the best things that came out of that trip was friendships that I made. On my team there was about 20 youths from different cities around the states and one person that lived in California, who to this day is still a great friend of mine.

FYI...This week for youth group please bring a jacket!

i know the roller skating thing is coming up soon. does anyone know of where i can find it on the main beacon site, have a flier, or know all the details like time etc.? i have had someone ask me for a flier already, and i would be okay with making my own just to give to her... but i need all the specifics first haha. thanks :)

Challenge

The second challenge is.... wait for it..... as soon as you walk in the door you need to sing the song I am a little tea pot. If you don't know what it is, Google it, its not hard. If one person completes the challenge, then you will win the prize, if more than one person completes the challenge then we will but your name in a hat and pick one name to win.

mackenzie moore... is freaking out

a month ago i had to turn in a huge project. my teacher has just started grading our class's. today she started having this psychotic rant about people using information and not citing it correctly and how she's had to give NINE referrals in the past week for plagiarism. and these are not like bad students or something... these are all super smart ap people who never would have been in trouble for anything else in school. so i was thinking it was accidental on their part?

then i realized that something in the project i turned in is not cited correctly. she only grades 1 of our 26 words, but i'm still freaking out because it wasn't just one time... it was a few times. i did all the work and cited it but it's not cited right and she WILL spaz over it. please just pray for peace because i am spazzing... and pray that my psycho teacher won't just happen to pick one of those words and give me a referral + a zero on the assignment even though i spent so many months on it :(
